Ingredients

  • 250 g protein powder
  • 150 g rolled oats
  • 100 g almond flour
  • 100 g Greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 ml milk

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle iron to 180°C. In a large bowl, whisk together the protein powder, oats, almond flour, and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. The mixture should be smooth and creamy, with a slight sweetness to it.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still be slightly lumpy. As you mix, you'll notice the aroma of vanilla and honey filling the air.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. The sound of the spoon scraping against the side of the bowl will let you know when the batter is ready.
  5. Cook the waffles for 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. The smell of cooked waffles will fill the air, and the sound of the waffle iron will change to a gentle sizzle.
  6. Top the waffles with Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of honey. The texture of the crunchy waffles and creamy yogurt is a perfect combination, and the sweetness of the honey adds a nice touch.

Notes

For best results, use a high-quality protein powder and serve immediately after cooking to maintain crispiness. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey to the batter or topping.
